紅磚意象 Red-brick Imagery

紅磚建造的房子在雲林鄉下隨處可見，與我的童年密不可分，玩樂的場所多半就是這些。但在時間的驅使下，房屋拆除、改建是常有的事，還想著過去的場景時眼前已是當下的陌生空間，時間與記憶在腦海裡不斷拉扯，突然就有了記錄當下的念頭，並且頻繁地出現。
人們保存了有價值性、歷史性的事物，對我來說，透過記錄拆除的過程、保存紅磚屋的過去與當下，加深了我與土地的連結。
紅磚意象是以記錄性的手法記錄紅磚房拆除的過程，再運用3D掃描技術還原，將過去與未來轉移到當下，把一段時間壓縮在一個空間。
時間的不可回溯性牽引著空間的改變，而我試著將時間反演，剖開時空的結構，在三維空間內創造出六維空間的影像，在這空間裡，時間具有可逆性，不再是一段時間軸，而是過去、當下與未來的時間點共存的空間軸。
我經常在時間中尋找記憶，而紅磚意象增加了時間與記憶的可能性，不再是模糊不清，鮮明的在影像中表露。
∞ Houses built of red bricks can be seen everywhere in the countryside of Yunlin. In my childhood I often spend my time in these houses. However, as time passes by some of them has been teared down or reconstructed. At the time I think about the past scenes an unfamiliar void has already replaced the old structure. Time and memory keep runs through my mind. Suddenly I have an impulse to record all of this.
People often preserved valuable and historical things. By documenting the demolition process, and to preserve the past and present of the red brick house, has deepen my connection to the land.
∞ “Red-brick image” records the demolition process of the red brick house in a documentary method, and then use 3D scanning technology to restore. I transfer the past and future to the present, and compress a period of time into one space.
The irreversibility of time leads the changes in space. I try to reverse time, dissect the structure of time and space then creates images of six-dimensional space in three-dimensional space. In this space, time is reversible, and no longer a one dimension axis, but an axis where past, present and future time points coexist.
∞ I often look for memory in time. “Red-brick image” has increases the possibility of time and memory. It’s no longer ambiguous, but clearly revealed in the image.
